Skills USA
Congratulations to BRHS Senior, Brett Ruga, who competed on April 20, 2013, in Somerset, NJ, in the Skills USA Competition in the field of Electrical Construction Wiring. Brett took FIRST PLACE and will be moving on to the National Competition. Brett will be headed to Kansas City from June 24-28th to represent Buena! Over 5,600 students from across the country will compete in 94 occupational and leadership skill areas in the National Competition in Kansas City.
Art Honoree
Congratulations to Danielle Banas, a senior Advanced Art Student at Buena Regional High School who was awarded first place in the District 2 Congressional Art Exhibit. Her work will hang in the Cannon Tunnel in Washington D.C. which runs between the Congressman's offices and the Capital Building where it will be seen by thousands of people. She is also invited to a ceremony in Washington, DC where all winners will receive their award from their Congressman and she is offered a $3000 scholarship to the Savannah School of Art if she chooses to attend there.
Earth Day
On Monday, 4.22.13, a group of students from the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the Student Council joined forces to clean up the campus of Buena Regional High School in honor of Earth Day. Some of the students are pictured here.

ACE Program
Congratulations to Chris Cecola and Nick Marandino, both of whom are seniors at BRHS, for representing Buena on the Cumberland Team in the ACE Mentor Program. ACE is a program that develops and mentors students in the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering. These young men, along with other students from other area high schools, were honored on Monday, 4.22.13, at the Landis Theater in Vineland for their efforts in the program all year and they presented their final project. They are pictured in the attached photo near one of their groups designs.

GDL Checks
The New Jersey State Police will be conducting random GDL checks in the BRHS Parking Lot for all student drivers throughout the school year.
